As part of a holistic approach to treatment and care, an ever-increasing range of complementary therapies is offered by NPC&TC. Qualified therapists offer treatments as detailed below.

Please note that appointments are allocated by the nursing staff and priority is given to non-physio patients.

Chinese face, neck and shoulder massage. The therapy can provide pain relief, decongestion, deep relaxation and rejuvenation.

Ear Candles (Both centres)
Hollow burning tubes are placed into the ears and a light suction action (chimney effect) generates a massage-like effect on the ear drum. The therapy is used to bring relief from ailments such as blocked sinuses, headaches, tinnitus and excess ear wax.

EFT (St Andrews)
Emotional Freedom Technique therapy can help people overcome traumas, phobias, depression, anxiety, chronic anger, grief and other issues.
