The St Georges Police Trust is a new charity resulting from the merger in May 2006 of the Northern Police Orphans Trust and the St Georges Fund.

The aim of the charity is defined as:

“The financial assistance of needy persons, one of whose parents are or were serving officers contributing to the St George’s Fund, and in future the St Georges Police Trust, and are now deceased or wholly incapacitated from earning a living.

“The grants will be made for support, maintenance, education and advancement in life.”
